Big White Info

Big White Ski Resort

It’s no wonder that Big White Ski Resort is the second largest ski and snowboarding resort in British Columbia and is Canada’s largest ski-in, ski-out village. Just 45 minutes from the Kelowna International airport and a 5 hour drive from Vancouver, we are in an ideal position.

Big White Ski Resort overlooks the majestic Monashee Mountains and has over 2,565 acres of skiable terrain covered with the famous Okanagan Champagne Powder Snow. You can choose from 112  wide glades or picturesque tree lined ski runs, but that's not the end of the story.

There are many glades and bowls where you can pick your own way down. If snowboarding is your style try out the Telus terrain park,  boarder cross course and brand new Superpipe.

Remember there is also 25 km (15.5 miles) of Nordic ski track. See our Other Activities page for more information.

Big White has on average 7.5 meters (24.5 feet) of snowfall per year with an average temperature of –8C (17F). The dry atmosphere makes it feel much warmer!

Big White was awarded “Best Powder” by Ski Canada Magazine, if you have yet to experience it make this year that you do so!
