Deposits: Rentchalets requires a non-refundable booking deposit of 20% of the total rental cost or a minimum of 1 night’s accommodation whichever is greater. The booking deposit is due immediately if paying by credit card or must be in our mailbox within 10 days if paying by cheque or money order. This non-refundable booking deposit is applied to rental cost. Full payment is due 30 days prior to arrival.
Damage/Security Deposit: To insure against damages to accommodations, a damage deposit for each unit is taken as a pre-authorization at time of check-in. The damage deposit is calculated by multiplying the star rating of the property by $100.00 (i.e. If you rent a 3 star property then the damage deposit will be 3 * $100.00 = $300.00 Damage Deposit). This deposit is applied to any additional charges such as damage done to the property, telephone charges, lost keys and extra cleaning charges. The charge for lost keys is $75.00 per set and the entire amount is forwarded to the owners so they may re-key their unit to ensure that their property is safe and secure. Rentchalets inspects all accommodations before and after a renter’s stay for damage, lost items, and cleanliness. Please note that renters are fully and legally responsible for any charges over and above damage/security deposit collected and the renter authorizes Rentchalets to put any additional charges onto their credit card.
Full Payment: Full payment must be RECEIVED at least 30 days PRIOR to check-in and is made in addition to the payment of the booking deposit.
Cancellation: If notice of cancellation is given BEFORE 30 days prior to arrival and before full payment is made, the booking deposit will not be refunded. If notice of cancellation is received LESS THAN 30 days prior to arrival then the full amount of the rental cost is kept unless a replacement booking is made. If a replacement booking is made, then all monies except the initial booking deposit will be refunded.
Renter’s Responsibilities: Renters will take care and respect the accommodation they have rented from Rentchalets. Renters will keep ski equipment in the designated storage lockers and not wear outdoor footwear inside. Renters agree to report IMMEDIATELY to Rentchalets office any damage found or caused. Rentchalets cater to family and mature adult ski groups. Should renters behavior necessitate eviction (including a complaint of excessive noise), all pre-paid rent monies, deposits, and purchases shall be considered earned and therefore be retained by Rentchalets.
Renters are required to complete the cleaning requirements that are posted in each accommodation. The cleaning requirements include washing and putting away all dishes, leaving the accommodation organized and tidy, and taking all garbage to the waste disposal site. Arrangements for garbage removal can be made with the on-hill managers. Once renters checkout, Rentchalets’ cleaning staff will clean the kitchen, bathrooms, floors and do laundry. Please remember that the damage deposit can be applied to the cost of additional cleaning which may be required. NOTE: Maid service can be booked with Rentchalets. This service must be pre-arranged and pre-paid.
Check-In Time: Units are ready for check-in at 4pm. Please let us know if you will be arriving late so arrangements can be made.
Checkout Time: Units must be vacated by 10:00 am sharp! Late check-outs may be pre-arranged with Rentchalets. Unscheduled late checkouts are billed at $50.00 per hour as cleaning.
