Big White Ski Resort
It's the Snow!
It’s no wonder that Big White Ski Resort is the second largest ski and snowboarding resort in British Columbia and is Canada’s largest ski-in, ski-out village. Just 45 minutes from the Kelowna International airport and a short drive from Vancouver. Check out the current snow conditions for Big White at the government weather office
Big White Ski Resort overlooks the majestic Monashee Mountains and has over 2,565 acres of ski-able terrain covered with champagne powder snow. You can choose from 112 wide glades or tightly treed ski runs, but that's not the end of the story. There are many glades and bowls where you can pick your own way down. If snowboarding is your style try out the new terrain park, border cross course and brand new Superpipe. And don't forget the 25 km (15.5 miles) of Nordic ski track. Big White has on average 7.5 meters (24.5 feet) of snowfall per year with an average temperature of –8C (17F).

Then you can warm up with a hot chocolate or some great food in one of the 14 restaurants/coffee bars and 5 pubs that Big White has to offer.
Round off your day with a little shopping in one of our many on-mountain stores which include snow sports stores, grocery store, liquor store, and video rental outlet.
One the best features of Big White Ski Resort is that kids are welcome. In fact the resort boasts one of the best Kids Centres in North America with daycare for children as young as 18 months. Not only do the kids get to play in a centre full of wonky walls and playful colors, but they can also try out one of the many kids programs offered. Big White Ski Resort has definitely become the family's choice for winter activities.
In Kelowna, there is hiking and biking, river rafting and sightseeing. Don't forget Kelowna's world class golf clubs. There are seemingly endless nearby trails and fishing spots to discover. The many vineyards and wineries of one of the world's fastest emerging wine regions are also a perennial attraction. In ever-growing numbers, international visitors continue to marvel at the wide open spaces, fresh water and endless beauty of the Okanagan. Big White is a rare opportunity in the middle of it all.
